Glory Dancers

Glory Dancers is a dance ministry formed by a group of ladies as a means to express their love and faith to our Lord Jesus Christ through dancing.  The group worships in the Sunday Worship Service, Street and Community outreach ministries, and has been actively involved in the Easter Passion plays for the past three years.

Being called to dance for God’s glory, how does the group strive to live up to its name?

G-ive our time and talent to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;
L-et His power work through our lives;
O-bey God incessantly and never leave the calling;
R-elationship with God and with fellow believers is built and strengthened;
Y-oung or old, men or women alike, are welcome and encouraged to join!

What then could be more exhilarating than dancing to the groove of Christian music!   It takes though more than wearing the dancing shoes, and performing and executing the routines to bring glory and honor to our God.  Our friends in the Glory Dancers sum it up in these brief statements:

D-evotion and dedication to His ministry;
A-doration, reverence and praises belong to Christ alone;
N-eed and seek to please our Lord;
C-ommitment to excellence;
E-nthusiasm to bring about a lively and worshipful dance;
R-evival of the heart;
S-pirit of the Lord in our hearts, so we can dance as David danced!

It’s indeed through the Spirit of the Lord that we can dance.  If they can dance, you can dance!
