Matthew 6:25–34
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Our heavenly Father has instructed me that we must prepare for the harvest; thus He has instructed me that we must put people in place to serve the Kingdom. In anticipation for the harvest that He will give us, we must be prepared. It will take approximately 70 people serving the kingdom at Calvary Temple (CT), without anyone feeling overwhelmed/burned out.
So join the movement! Whatever your gifting, interests, or schedule—there is a place for you on The Kingdom Service Teams at Calvary Temple!

Nursery Team:
Provide care for infants and toddlers, 7 months (sitting up) to 4 years old. Expect to do lots of cuddling, rocking, getting on the floor, and playing with the babies. The toddlers need plenty of play interaction and direction. A very short and simple lesson is taught, but the primary role is to love, bless, hug, read books, and encourage.
Sunday School:
Ages 2-5 = Beginners, Preschool & Pre-K
Preschool Team members serve a very important part of the spiritual training for our little ones. You are also serving parents when you provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for their children to learn more about what it means to be a child of God!
Preschool children are busy little ones! They are learning so much as they play and interact with others. Please consider your time with children as precious and worthwhile, not as simply babysitting or free-play time. Direct their play, engage with them, and talk together.
Three main truths are taught throughout the year: God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever!
Beginners/2-3’s Class:
Provide care for 2-year-olds in a more structured environment. There is still plenty of playing and reading books, but you will have a simple short lesson to teach.
Preschool/3-4’s Class:
Provide care for 3-year-olds in a structured environment. There is some playing and reading books, but you will have a simple lesson to teach. This class also watches a Bible video story and makes a take home craft.
Pre-K/4-5’s Class:
Provide care for 4-5year-olds in a structured environment. There is limited playing and reading books, but you will have an interactive lesson to teach. This class also watches a Bible video story and makes a take home craft.
K-4 Team: Kindergarten, 1st-2nd Grade, 3rd-4th Grade
K-4 Team members have the opportunity to teach more and provide input into the hearts and minds of these growing boys and girls. The curriculum focuses on three main points throughout the year: I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each class has a step-by-step curriculum guide with video Bible stories, application activities, scripture memory activities, prayer times, and time for you to speak into their lives. There is prep time needed to watch the videos in advance and read through the curriculum. The children love the curriculum, and everything you need is provided for you in the class.
Kindergarten:
Kindergartners are just learning to read. There is more time given to coloring, take home crafts, and interactive activities to teach the verse of Scripture or Bible story.
1st & 2nd Grade:
This class has a video Bible story, memory verse, interactive activities, and they start the God Encountering Tools program.
3rd & 4th Grade:
This class has a video Bible story, memory verse, interactive activities, and they continue with the God Encountering Tools program. They are taught to apply and live out what they are learning.
